I’m back.
That means that AndyC’s reign of terror as substitute magazine editor is over, and my reign of terror as magazine editor can restart.
I’d like to thank Andy for the seamless way he took over and continued the blog. He did a magnificent job. Thank you.
The normal reward given by an editor or a bloodthirsty dictator (there is, I am assured, a difference) to a stand-in who does an excellent job is to fire them; dangerous competition. However, on mature reflection, I realised that having skilled deputies available can be a good thing.
So, you’re not fired Andy.
Seriously, my thanks to him.
Now that I’m back, I’m ready to receive all your articles that you’ve been working on in my absence. I have every confidence and expectation that I will soon be receiving all your articles that you’ve been working on in my absence. I anticipate being flooded with lots of interesting stuff about history, alternate history, writing, reviews, and all the joyous stuff that I know people are capable of.
And if not, I’ll fill up gaps in the schedule with my holiday snaps. Be afraid. Be very afraid. I’m no David Bailey.
